model y vs ioniq 5 Page 217

Model Y vs Ioniq 5 is the schoolyard punch‑on we actually like watching: both brilliant, just different flavours of EV cleverness.

• Model Y pros: big cargo space and neat cabin storage, slick software with frequent updates, wide fast‑charging access on Tesla’s network, strong efficiency.
• Model Y cons: firmer ride and more road noise, sparse physical controls, shorter new‑car warranty than Hyundai.
• Ioniq 5 pros: plush ride and quiet cabin, roomy second row with lounge vibes, ultra‑fast 800‑V charging on capable stations, longer warranty.
• Ioniq 5 cons: smaller boot and frunk, infotainment not as polished, public charging experience depends on third‑party networks.

Choose based on priorities: cargo and ecosystem polish (Y) or comfort and living‑room space (Ioniq 5)—either way, the petrol station becomes a snack stop.
