most crime city in australia

Ah, the age-old question: which Aussie city tops the charts for mayhem and mischief? Crime statistics can be as slippery as a wet kangaroo, but Sydney and Melbourne often juggle the unwanted crown depending on the crime category. Sydney tends to see more property crimes like theft and burglary, while Melbourne wrestles with higher rates of violent offences in certain suburbs. It's worth noting that 'crime city' is a bit of a blunt instrument; many areas within these cities are safer than a wombat in its burrow.
