The Mount Panorama Circuit, a legendary Australian race track, holds its lap records in high esteem. The outright lap record during a race is 1:59.2918 set by Shane van Gisbergen in a Supercars event in 2021, which is blisteringly quick for a 6.213 km (3.861 miles) circuit.
For context, the outright qualifying lap record is even faster, with times dipping below the two-minute mark, showcasing the sheer pace of these touring beasts. Remember, lap times vary widely depending on the category of car—V8 Supercars, GT cars, and motorbikes all have their own benchmarks.
Consult official race records and timing sheets for the most up-to-date and category-specific lap times, as these numbers can be broken with new tech and talent.
