In Victoria, a Multi Combination (MC) licence lets you drive B‑doubles and road trains—basically the big kids’ table of trucking.
To be eligible you must hold an HR or HC licence for at least 12 months, be medically fit, and complete an accredited MC training and assessment with a registered provider.
Pass the training assessment and you’ll get a certificate to take to VicRoads for the upgrade; there’s also the usual eyesight checks and fees.
Expect course costs in the ballpark of AUD $1,500–$3,000 depending on provider and hours, plus VicRoads licence fees.
If reversing multiple trailers without breaking a sweat sounds like your idea of zen, the MC ticket is your next step.
