Thinking about Mustang tuning? Good—your V8’s begging for a better bedtime story. A quality ECU tune with intake and exhaust can unlock around 20–40 kW, sharpen throttle, and free up the mid-range; budget roughly AUD 2,500–5,000 all-in. Go headers, high-flow cats and E85 and you’re looking at 50–70 kW gains—lovely noise, slightly thirstier, and your neighbours will learn your schedule. Want silly? Bolt-on supercharger kits can add 150–250 kW, but they run AUD 12k–25k before labour, and your clutch, tyres and brakes will file formal complaints. Check ADR/emissions compliance, tell your insurer, and remember many tunes can void warranty faster than a limiter-bash at Sandown. Sensible order: tyres, brakes, cooling, then power—and scour Tradingpost for parts and take-offs without torching the budget.
