national trans am series Page 2

The National Trans Am Series is Australia’s door-banging ode to V8 muscle, minus the rose-tinted nostalgia.

Think silhouette Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and friends on control hardware with minimal driver aids, so the right foot does the talking.

Races are short, elbows-out sprints at circuits across the country, often alongside major national race meetings.

Cars run tube-frame chassis, big brakes, sequential boxes and control tyres—simple, loud, and gloriously sideways.

Costs stay saner than GT racing, which keeps grids healthy and the racing properly close.

If you want pure, uncomplicated thunder, this is it—bring earplugs and a sense of humour.
