Hate to spoil the spa day, but Sydney doesn’t have true natural hot springs.
Your closest genuine warm soak is the Yarrangobilly Thermal Pool in Kosciuszko National Park, about 5–6 hours’ drive, sitting at roughly 27°C year‑round.
Head north and you’ll find the artesian baths in Moree (around 6–7 hours) and Lightning Ridge’s free bore baths (about 9 hours), both fed by the Great Artesian Basin.
Burren Junction and Boomi also have rustic bore baths if you like your serenity with a hint of outback.
Around Sydney you’ll see “onsen” or mineral bathhouses, but those are heated pools, not geothermal springs.
Pack snacks, playlists, and a towel—the good stuff in NSW is a road trip away.
