new nissan x trail review Page 2

The new Nissan X‑Trail is the family SUV that finally got its act together—sharper cabin, better tech, and a ride that won’t shake the kids’ snacks across the back seat.

You can have a 2.5‑litre petrol with a calm CVT, or step up to the e‑POWER hybrid that drives like an EV but sips like a saint; both offer all‑wheel drive if your weekends involve gravel and ambition.

Space is generous up front, the second row is genuinely adult‑friendly, and the occasional third row is best reserved for small humans and short trips.

Infotainment and safety kit are now competitive, with crisp screens, proper smartphone mirroring, and driver assists that behave more like a co‑pilot than a back‑seat driver.

It’s not the cheapest in class and the CVT still prefers smooth inputs, but refinement, comfort and cabin polish are right up there.
