new rego plates qld

Chasing new rego plates in QLD? Too easy.

Standard plates are issued by Transport and Main Roads with new registrations or replacements, while personalised and special designs go through Personalised Plates Queensland.

Choose your style/combination, lodge the order, pay the applicable fees, and wait for delivery or collection—then fit them securely with the right screws, not whatever’s rattling in the glovebox.

Replacing or cancelling plates? Follow the surrender instructions and update your insurer so the records match.

Personalised plates can be transferred or retained, but only with the approved paperwork and fees, so read the fine print before you get creative.
