new triton 2024 engine Page 2

The 2024 Mitsubishi Triton in Australia packs a new 2.4‑litre four‑cylinder turbo‑diesel (4N16) under the bonnet. It puts out up to 150 kW and 470 Nm in most dual‑cab grades, hooked to a 6‑speed auto or 6‑speed manual and, on 4x4 models, Mitsubishi’s Super‑Select II system. Braked towing is up to 3,500 kg, and fuel use hovers in the high‑7s to mid‑8s L/100 km depending on spec and load. In short: more grunt, calmer cruising, and fewer grumbles at the bowser than the old one. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
