Start with the Great Ocean Road: Lorne to Apollo Bay delivers cliff-hugging bends and koala spotting, roughly 120–180 km return depending how far you chase the surf.

For rainforest curves, take the Black Spur from Healesville to Marysville—smooth sweepers under towering ferns, best tackled early before caravans wake up.

Close to town, loop the Dandenongs via Mount Dandenong Tourist Road, then reward yourself with scones you “definitely earned.”

Mornington Peninsula to Arthurs Seat and back gives blue-water vistas; the Yarra Valley and Mount Macedon add winery detours and cool-climate twisties.

Fill up, pack patience for tourists, and watch for wildlife; Victoria’s finest bitumen is worth the fuel bill and the inevitable bug cemetery on your bumper.
