nissan australia cyber attack Page 1084

In late 2023, Nissan Oceania (covering Australia and New Zealand) disclosed a cyber incident and temporarily took some systems offline while investigators had a poke around.

Nissan said customer and employee data may have been accessed, notified the relevant privacy regulators, and rolled out support measures including account monitoring guidance.

Dealership operations kept ticking with a few speed bumps, and systems were progressively restored as the forensic dust settled.

If you’re a customer, watch for phishing messages pretending to be Nissan, enable multi‑factor authentication where you can, and keep an eye on your credit reports.

For the latest status and any remediation offers, check Nissan Australia’s official notices—because rumours travel faster than a GT‑R on fresh tyres.
