nissan navara 2007 d40 engine problems Page 3

The 2007 Nissan Navara D40, a rugged workhorse, isn't without its quirks under the bonnet. Common engine problems include:

• Timing chain wear leading to rattling noises and potential engine damage.
• Turbocharger issues causing loss of power and excessive smoke.
• Oil leaks from the valve cover gasket and oil cooler seals.
• Occasional EGR valve failures resulting in rough idling and reduced performance.

Owners often report these complaints after the 150,000 km mark, so regular servicing and vigilance are your best mates. For used examples, check listings on CarShowroom and Tradingpost for maintenance history clues.
