nissan navara 2022 review Page 2

Ah, the 2022 Nissan Navara—a ute that tries to balance rugged charm with a smidge of sophistication. Under the bonnet, it boasts a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine delivering around 140-160 kW and 450 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual. It handles towing duties with aplomb, rated up to 3,500 kg, and offers a comfortable ride for both work and weekend escapes. Inside, the cabin is functional but lacks the pizzazz found in rivals—think durable plastics and a touchscreen infotainment system that’s adequate, if uninspiring. Common grumbles include occasional turbo lag and a suspension that feels a tad harsh on rough terrain. For pricing, expect to shell out roughly $40,000 to $55,000 AUD new, with used models appearing on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less. Overall, it’s a solid, no-nonsense workhorse with enough flair to keep things interesting.
