Short answer: no, Australia doesn’t have public roads with no speed limits—this isn’t the Autobahn and you’re not auditioning for a chase scene.
The Northern Territory once had open-speed sections, but they were scrapped in 2006, briefly trialled again on parts of the Stuart Highway from 2014, then returned to a capped 130 km/h in 2016. Most Aussie highways sit at 110 km/h, with lower limits where common sense (and kangaroos) demand it.
