Short answer: no. A NSW “pink slip” (eSafety check) is only for NSW rego renewals, while Victoria demands a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) from a VicRoads-licensed tester. If you’re bringing a NSW car into Victoria or transferring ownership, you’ll need that Victorian RWC plus the usual ID and paperwork with VicRoads. A NSW blue slip doesn’t help either—still a New South Wales thing. Budget for an inspection in Victoria; if you’re buying via Tradingpost, factor it in before you shake hands. Bureaucracy can’t share a meat pie, let alone inspection rules.
