offensive number plates nsw Page 19

Thinking of a cheeky plate in NSW? Temper the inner 12-year-old. Transport for NSW will bin anything that’s offensive, obscene, discriminatory, incites violence or crime, references drugs or sex, imitates government or emergency services, or could be read that way with creative vowels.

If you apply with something spicy, it’ll be refused; if a questionable combo slips through, they can cancel it later and require you to surrender the plates.

Translation: clever is fine, crude is not; clarity beats ambiguity; and no, you can’t be 'POL1CE' in a Corolla. Check the current NSW guidelines before ordering to save the drama.
