p2 to full licence vic Page 458

To go from a P2 to a full licence in Victoria, you wait out your P-plate probation, keep your record clean, and then upgrade through VicRoads. The key is time served on your P2 (typically three years, depending on when and how you started) with no suspensions or serious offences. There’s usually no new test at this step—confirm eligibility in your myVicRoads account, pay the fee, and swap the plates for grown-up ones. If you’ve been suspended, disqualified, or pinged for drink/drug driving, the clock can reset or extra conditions can apply. As expiry approaches, VicRoads will prod you to upgrade, so don’t leave it to the last minute like that Year 10 assignment. For specifics tied to your licence history, consult VicRoads’ official guidance.
