pathfinder vs x trail

Same badge, very different lunches: Pathfinder is the big family hauler, X‑Trail is the school‑run ninja.

• Pathfinder pros: Proper space (7/8 seats), calmer at highway speeds, and strong towing (around 2,700 kg braked, variant‑dependent).
• Pathfinder cons: Thirstier, pricier, and bulkier to park.
• X‑Trail pros: Easier to live with in town, lower fuel use (especially the e‑Power hybrid), and friendlier pricing; 5 or 7 seats available.
• X‑Trail cons: Less towing (typically up to ~2,000 kg braked, spec‑dependent), smaller cabin, and not as serene when fully loaded.

Pick by needs: big trips and trailers favour Pathfinder; tight streets and budgets lean X‑Trail—no losers, just different tool for the job.
