phase one camera price Page 34

Phase One pricing isn’t so much a number as a lifestyle choice. New kits (think XF body with an IQ4 150MP back) typically land around AUD $60,000–$80,000+, and a new digital back alone can be AUD $45,000–$60,000+.

On the used market, older IQ1/IQ2 backs and kits can be roughly AUD $5,000–$15,000, IQ3 100MP gear often AUD $15,000–$30,000, and well-kept full kits anywhere from AUD $12,000–$40,000 depending on lenses and condition.

Budget for calibration, extra batteries, and a tripod that won’t weep under the weight of your expectations.

If you’re chasing absolute image quality and colour depth, it delivers; if you’re chasing bargains, perhaps not this decade.
