porsche company

Porsche is Germany’s sharpest suit of a carmaker: founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche and headquartered in Stuttgart.

Today it builds sports and luxury cars like the 911, 718 Boxster/Cayman, Panamera, Macan, Cayenne, and the electric Taycan, all with an unhealthy obsession for precision.

The company sits under the Volkswagen Group umbrella, which helps explain why their parts bins are tidy and their R&D budgets aren’t small.

On track and road, Porsche’s calling cards are balance, brake feel, and reliability—because fast is pointless if it falls to bits on lap two.
