premier of perth Page 6

There isn’t a “Premier of Perth” — that title doesn’t exist, no matter how many times your mate at the pub insists.

Western Australia is led by the Premier of Western Australia, who heads the state government and cabinet across the whole state.

Perth is the capital city, so you’ll find a Lord Mayor of the City of Perth, not a city “premier”.

If you’re after the current Premier’s name, it can change with elections or party shuffles, so check the official WA Government site or the latest news.

Short version: state has a Premier, city has a Lord Mayor — and neither will help you parallel park.
