Project CARS 3 throws its racing gloves into the dryer and comes out softer, warmer, and decidedly more arcade than its predecessors.
The handling is friendlier, progression is built around credits and bolt‑on upgrades, and the career doles out bite‑sized objectives like a mobile game that learned manners.
Sim faithful grumbled—rightly—about the loss of pit stops, tyre and fuel management, and the pared‑back tuning depth, while casual players enjoyed actually keeping the car on the black stuff.
On the bright side, performance is smooth, the car/track roster is generous, and controller play is genuinely fun; on the dim side, AI can be erratic and the grind gets real.
If you wanted a hardcore sim successor to Project CARS 2, this isn’t it; if you want approachable racing with a glossy garage loop, it’ll do just fine.
