queensland headlight laws Page 228

Strap in, mates. Queensland’s headlight laws aren’t just about keeping your visor clean; they’re designed to prevent Aussie roads from turning into a disco inferno. Headlights must be used from sunset to sunrise and in poor visibility conditions like fog or heavy rain. High beam is your mate on empty highways but must dip for oncoming traffic and when following other vehicles within 200 metres. And no, flashing your headlights like a Morse code enthusiast to warn of speed traps is frowned upon. For the legally inclined, consult the Queensland Road Rules official documentation or have a squiz at ServiceCentral for up-to-date info.
