The RAB Act (NSW) is the Residential Apartment Buildings (Compliance and Enforcement Powers) Act 2020—catchy, isn’t it?

It gives the NSW Building Commissioner real teeth: they can inspect sites, require testing, issue rectification and stop-work orders, and even block occupation certificates if serious defects are sniffed out.
