Ah, the Ragdoll cat: a feline so laid-back it practically invented the 'flop and chill' technique. This breed is known for its striking blue eyes and semi-long fur that feels like cashmere against your skin. Adult males can weigh between 6 to 9 kg, with females slightly smaller. Their temperament is famously docile and affectionate, often described as 'dog-like' in their loyalty. Expect to pay anywhere from $1,200 to $2,000 AUD for a purebred kitten, with used or older cats potentially available through PuppyList or Tradingpost at lower prices. Beware, they can be prone to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a fancy name for heart issues) and require regular grooming sessions to avoid matting. Consult official breeders or veterinary sources for detailed care guidelines.
