ralliart vs evo Page 4

If you’re torn between the Lancer Ralliart and the Evo, here’s the boiled-down truth: same family, very different temperaments.

The Ralliart is the fast daily; the Evo is the road-legal rally stage that somehow got plates.

Ralliart

• Pros: More affordable to buy and insure, punchy turbo with AWD, paddles and SST convenience, comfier ride, responds well to mild mods.
• Cons: SST servicing/heat management matters, softer suspension and open diffs limit track heroics, smaller brakes and cooling, many have been “enthusiast owned.”

Evo

• Pros: More power out of the box, S-AWC with AYC for real grip, bigger Brembos and tougher chassis, huge aftermarket, track-ready feel.
• Cons: Harsher ride and cabin, higher running costs/insurance, SST (MR) service costs or manual clutch wear, prices climbing for clean examples.

Choose based on budget, tolerance for stiffness, and whether you’ll actually see a track or just talk about it at the servo.

Whichever you fancy, demand full service history (SST fluid intervals; AYC pump on Evos) and get a pre-purchase inspection.
