rav4 hybrid review australia 2023

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid in Australia is the family wagon that sips like a budgie and hauls like a packhorse. The 2.5-litre petrol-electric setup delivers smooth shove and real-world economy around 4.7–5.0 L/100 km, with quiet urban manners and enough poke for highway overtakes. Cabin space is generous, the boot’s broad and flat, and the updated infotainment finally looks properly 2020s instead of cassette-deck chic. Ride comfort is solid, though coarse-chip roads can add a bit of rumble, and the safety tech is comprehensive without nagging too much. New drive-away pricing typically lands from the mid-$40k to mid-$60k AUD depending on trim and AWD, while near-new used examples often sit uncomfortably close thanks to demand. If you want easy efficiency without charging cables or lifestyle manifestos, this is the sensible choice—just bring patience for the waitlist.
