In Queensland, Red P (P1) drivers under 25 can carry no more than one passenger under 21 between 11pm and 5am.
Outside those hours, the usual rules apply: every backside needs a seatbelt, and yours needs a 0.00 BAC and no phone use, hands-free included.
If you genuinely need to carry more young passengers at night, apply for an exemption first — don’t wing it and hope the fine fairy looks away.
High-powered vehicle bans also apply to many P-platers, so pick your wheels wisely before loading up the mates.
