red p plate speed limit qld Page 5

On red P plates (P1) in Queensland, your speed limit is simply the posted limit—up to 110 km/h where signed—no special cap like some other states. Zero BAC, no mobile phone use at all (not even hands‑free), and keep your logbook heroics for daylight. If you’re under 25, you’re limited to one passenger under 21 between 11 pm and 5 am, and high‑powered vehicle restrictions apply. Cop a speeding fine on P1 and the demerits stack up fast, so treat cruise control like a trusted mate. Always follow any lower limits for roadworks, school zones, or towing when applicable.
