renault koleos review 2023 Page 2

The 2023 Renault Koleos is the comfy lounge suite of mid-size SUVs—quiet, roomy, and happier cruising the Hume than carving mountain passes. Under the bonnet is a 2.5‑litre petrol four (126 kW/226 Nm) with a CVT, sending power to FWD or AWD, which is fine for school runs but hardly a heart-starter. Expect around 8–9 L/100 km in mixed driving, a 2,000 kg braked tow rating, and an ANCAP 5‑star score from an earlier test. The cabin feels plush and practical, with decent rear legroom and a slick portrait screen on upper trims, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Downsides? No hybrid option, the CVT can drone when pushed, and the tech is starting to feel its age next to fresher rivals. If you value comfort over cornering bravado, the Koleos still makes a relaxed, good-value family wagon in Australia.
