retro porsche Page 3

Ah, the elusive "retro Porsche"—a phrase as vague as a foggy morning in the Blue Mountains. If you're hankering for a classic Porsche, think of models like the 911 (1960s–1980s) or the 944. These beauties offer a nostalgic blast of air-cooled engines and timeless design that makes modern Porsches look like they lost their mojo. Prices vary wildly: vintage 911s can start around $80,000 AUD for a fixer-upper and rocket well past $200,000 AUD for a pristine example, while 944s are a more wallet-friendly entry point, often found between $20,000–$40,000 AUD.

For hunting down your dream retro Porsche, CarShowroom and Tradingpost are your best mates. Remember, these classics demand love, not just money—expect some quirks and maintenance to keep them purring.
