reversing a caravan Page 19

Reversing a caravan is less about wizardry and more about patience and practice, so don’t panic if it feels like you’re trying to thread a camel through the eye of a needle. The key is to steer in the opposite direction to where you want the caravan to go—yes, it’s counterintuitive, but that’s the charm. Use small, deliberate movements on the steering wheel and keep your speed snail-pace slow to avoid any costly dings or undignified moments. It helps to have a spotter with you, ideally one who isn’t going to laugh hysterically when you inevitably jackknife. Like any skill, mastering caravan reversing is a matter of practice, so consider a quiet car park your new best mate.
