review ford everest 2023 Page 3

The 2023 Ford Everest looks like it’s been bench‑pressing Rangers and eating Klugers for breakfast, and largely drives like it too.

Pick the 2.0‑litre bi‑turbo diesel (about 154 kW/500 Nm) or the lustier 3.0‑litre V6 diesel (about 184 kW/600 Nm), both with a 10‑speed auto and proper low‑range on 4x4s.

Cabin tech is very now: a big portrait screen with SYNC 4A, heaps of safety kit, and a calm ride; towing is up to 3,500 kg braked.

It’s not dainty—parking spots feel smaller and the V6 can be thirsty if you prod it—but road manners are tidy and the driver aids aren’t overbearing for once.

Expect real‑world fuel in the high 7s to low 9s L/100 km depending on spec and load, plus a 5‑star ANCAP (2022) to keep the family peace.

Key specs: 2.0/3.0 diesels, 10‑speed auto, 3,500 kg tow, 7 seats. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
