revs check vic free Page 39

Short answer: there’s no truly free “REVS check” in Victoria anymore—REVS was replaced by the PPSR, and an encumbrance search costs about AUD $2.

You can, however, do a free VicRoads registration check to confirm plates, expiry and write‑off status—useful, but it won’t tell you if finance is owing.

Before buying on Tradingpost or anywhere else, run a PPSR check with the VIN (not just the rego) and keep the certificate.
