road 96 review

Road 96 is a scrappy, stylish road-trip adventure where your choices matter, your luck does not, and the soundtrack slaps like a triple-shot flat white. Procedural story chunks keep each escape attempt fresh as you hitch, sneak, and blag your way across Petria, meeting oddballs who bounce between charming and deeply suspicious.

The minigames veer from clever to clunky, and repetition peeks in if you binge it, but the character arcs and political bite carry real momentum. It is not the prettiest rig in the garage, yet the vibes, music, and gallows humour make it surprisingly memorable.

Verdict: if you like narrative experiments and do not mind a few rough edges, this road trip is worth the fuel.
