road to winter

Ah, "road to winter"—sounds poetic, but what exactly are we gearing up for? If you're pondering the best way to prep your vehicle for the chilly Australian winter roads, here’s the nutshell:

• Tires: Consider swapping to winter tires if you’re heading to snow-prone areas like the Snowy Mountains.
• Fluids: Use cold-weather rated antifreeze and check your windshield washer fluid for freeze resistance.
• Battery: Cold snaps can be brutal on your battery, so test it before the chill hits.

Drive smart, keep a blanket and emergency kit handy, and if you’re hunting for winter-ready gear or vehicles, sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom might have some gems. Safe travels on your frosty adventures!
