Ah, the elusive Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) in Victoria—a must-have to sell or transfer your car legally. It certifies your vehicle meets the minimum safety standards, covering brakes, tyres, lights, suspension, and more. Typically, it costs between $100 and $200 AUD depending on the tester and region. Beware, it’s not a tune-up but a basic safety check, so don’t expect a clean bill of health for your beloved rust bucket. You can grab one from authorised inspection stations, and it’s valid for 30 days, so don’t dilly-dally. For listings of testers, check out ServiceCentral or Tradingpost. Drive safe, or else!
