In NSW there’s no such thing as a “Roadworthy Certificate” — the local equivalent is the eSafety check (pink slip).
You’ll need it when renewing rego for most light vehicles over five years old; an authorised inspection station uploads the pass electronically.
Bringing in an unregistered or interstate car? That’s a Blue Slip (AUVIS) inspection, a deeper dive to verify identity and compliance.
Heavy vehicles have their own schemes, and if you’ve been defected you’ll need an inspection to clear it before hitting the road.
Bottom line: ask an AIS for a pink slip, or a Blue Slip if the car’s unregistered, and you’ll be back cruising the Hume quicker than you can say “sausage sizzle”.
