rwc qld cost Page 6

In Queensland, an RWC (Safety Certificate) inspection typically costs around $90 for a car, about $60 for a motorcycle, and roughly $45 for a light trailer.

The fees are government‑regulated, so you’re paying for the inspection, not a candlelit dinner.

For private sales the certificate is valid for 2 months or 2,000 km, whichever comes first; dealers get a different window.

If the vehicle needs work to pass, you’ll pay for repairs, then head back for a recheck—ideally with fewer surprises than a mystery sausage roll.
