rwc requirements qld

In Queensland it’s called a Safety Certificate—same idea as an RWC, just with a sunny disposition. You need one before advertising or offering a registered light vehicle for sale, and again to transfer registration or re‑register an unregistered vehicle. It must be issued by an Approved Inspection Station (AIS) and covers basics like tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, lights, windscreens, and rust. Validity is 2 months/2,000 km for private sellers and 3 months/1,000 km for licensed dealers. Trailers and caravans 750 kg–3.5 t ATM need one too; heavier stuff plays by different rules. No more windscreen sticker theatre—just have the certificate sorted and hand it over at transfer.
