sell car in qld Page 56

Selling a car in Queensland is as straightforward as convincing a cat to take a bath—if you know the steps. First, ensure you have the vehicle's registration papers handy, and don't forget the safety certificate, which is mandatory for private sales. Next, advertise your ride on platforms like Tradingpost or CarShowroom to attract buyers. Once a deal is struck, you must complete the transfer of ownership via the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads—online or in person. Remember, the buyer is responsible for transfer fees, but you should keep a copy of the receipt to cover your rear. And yes, honesty about your car's quirks will save you grief down the track.
