sell number plates vic

Selling number plates in Victoria isn’t as simple as slapping a price tag on your cherished custom plate and waiting for the bidding war. You’ll need to go through VicRoads, the overlords of all things vehicular, who handle the transfer process and ensure you’re not just giving away your prized possession to some dodgy character. Prices can vary wildly depending on how special the plate is—think from a few hundred bucks for common extras to tens of thousands for the rare flashy ones. If you’re looking to flog your plates, checking out marketplaces like Tradingpost or CarShowroom might help gauge the local interest and pricing trends. Just remember: the transfer fee and paperwork are unavoidable, so factor those into your expectations.
