sell your own home Page 8

Thinking of flogging your own home without a real estate agent? Bold move, mate. You’ll save on commission fees, but be ready to become a part-time property guru, negotiator, and legal eagle. Pricing it right is crucial—too high and you scare off buyers, too low and you’re basically handing over cash. Prepare to handle inspections, marketing (hello Tradingpost and CarShowroom for your online ads), and the dreaded paperwork.

Remember, you’ll need to be up to speed on Australian property laws and disclosures. Unless you’re a seasoned pro, consider the time and stress it’ll add. But if you’re keen on keeping those extra thousands in your pocket, go for it with eyes wide open.
