selling a repairable write-off in qld Page 3

Yes, you can sell a repairable write-off in QLD—just declare it clearly, because its WOVR status isn’t a fun surprise. If it’s still registered, you’ll need a current Queensland safety certificate; if it’s unregistered, no RWC is required, but the buyer can’t legally drive it away. It can’t be registered again until it’s repaired and passes a Written-Off Vehicle Inspection (WOVI) and then the usual safety checks; statutory write-offs are parts-only forever. Keep receipts for major parts and ID numbers, because inspectors love paperwork almost as much as rust hates steel. The write-off flag stays on the PPSR for life, so price it with appropriate humility. Listing on a trusted spot like Tradingpost and being upfront will save you tyre-kicker theatre.
