sevs car list Page 8

Hunting for the SEVS car list? In Australia that’s the Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicles Register, which outlines models eligible for concessional import under federal rules.

You’ll check the SEV Register by make, model and year, then confirm there’s an approval pathway so the car can land on the Register of Approved Vehicles after compliance.

Next, work with a registered workshop/importer, secure a Vehicle Import Approval, and budget for shipping, quarantine, asbestos checks and compliance—bureaucracy loves a paper trail.

Tip: eligibility isn’t universal; specific variants and build years matter, and the wrong code can sink the plan.

When in doubt, consult a specialist and cross-check the Department of Infrastructure’s guidance; it’s the gospel here, even if it reads like stereo instructions.
