speed limiter for cars

Speed limiters in cars are the automotive equivalent of your mum yelling "slow down!" from the driveway, but a bit more high-tech. They cap the vehicle's top speed to a preset limit, enhancing safety and fuel efficiency. Typically, modern cars use electronic speed limiters set around 180-250 km/h, though commercial vehicles often have lower limits for legal compliance. New cars with speed limiters cost anywhere from $20,000 to $100,000 AUD, depending on make and model, while older models may have retrofitted systems available on Tradingpost or CarShowroom. Common issues include system malfunctions leading to unexpected speed drops and occasional sensor errors.

• Malfunctioning sensors
