Spirit of Tasmania sails between Geelong, Victoria and Devonport, Tasmania—yes, they moved from Melbourne to Geelong, and no, your GPS isn’t lying.

On the mainland you depart from Spirit of Tasmania Quay in North Geelong; in Tassie it’s the Devonport terminal on the east side of the river.

Check-in opens well before departure, and the Bass Strait crossing takes roughly 9–11 hours depending on the sailing.
