spoodle vs cavoodle

When it comes to the Spoodle versus the Cavoodle, we're essentially looking at two delightful Poodle crosses, but with slightly different parentage and temperaments.

• Spoodle (Spaniel + Poodle): Typically a bit more energetic, great for active families, and known for their affectionate nature. They tend to have a silky coat that may require regular grooming.
• Cavoodle (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel + Poodle): Usually more laid-back and cuddly, perfect for those who want a lapdog with less of the hyperactive streak. Their coat is often curlier and more hypoallergenic.

Both are brilliant for allergy sufferers, intelligent, and trainable. If you want a dog for lots of outdoor adventures, the Spoodle might edge it; for a snuggly companion, the Cavoodle is your mate. Prices for both new pups often range from AUD 2,500 to 5,000, with used/adult dogs available occasionally on PuppyList or Tradingpost.
