The Spotify Car Thing is a nifty little gadget designed to make your music streaming in the car less of a distraction and more of a pleasure. It acts as a dedicated controller for Spotify, allowing you to browse playlists, podcasts, and songs without fumbling with your phone. Unfortunately, its availability in Australia is patchy, and prices vary widely on second-hand sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom, typically ranging from around $50 to $150 AUD depending on condition. New units are rarely sold officially here, so importing might be your only option, complete with shipping and customs fees.

Keep an eye on local classifieds and PuppyList too, as these niche devices pop up sporadically. Just remember, it's a Spotify-only device, so if you fancy other streaming services, this won't be your cup of tea.
